Hail 2 the Queen!
Terrie's "Always 2gether"
layout was judged by her
peers as the best at the
crop! Her reign was
announced at the
'Scrappies" Golden
Scissors Awards Night on
Saturday. As the Queen,
Terrie received a beautiful
floral tote and goodies
donated by The Red Bee
in Tustin, a handmade
"Queen of the Crop"
necklace created by former
Queen,
herself, tiara
donated by the Diva Craft
Lounge, and, of course,
bragging rights!
Terrie will reign until the
next weekend crop, in
November 2008, where
she will pass her title on to
the next layout winner,
along with a scrappy,
handmade "Queen of the
Crop" necklace of her own
design!
Congratulations to our April "Queen of the Crop,"
Terrie D., from Kerman, CA is our repeat Queen!
Crops2Remember
YOU could be our next "Queen of the Crop!" Start planning your layout now!
The November 2008 theme will be announced here months in advance. You can interpret the
theme any way you wish and the theme does NOT have to be in your title. Layouts can be one
or two pages of any size. Layouts will be displayed and judged anonymously, so please do
not put your name anywhere on your submission
. Layouts can either be created at home and
brought to the crop, or completed at the crop Friday. If you have more questions, email
Jessica at
jessicacrops2remember@yahoo.com.
April 2007 C2R Queen of the Crop
Julia M. from Mission Viejo, CA
"As a 'repeat offender,'
I am just as impressed
with C2R as I was the
first time.
It was just fabulous!"
- Terrie
Page Challenge Princess Cyndi
The Page Challenge
Contest layouts are voted
on by the crop participants,
just like the Queen of the
Crop Layout Contest. In
this challenge, everyone is
given three items they must
use, and then can use
three items from their own
stash to complete a page
within a few hours. The
Page Challenge Princess
at the April 2008 crop is
Cyndi, also from Kerman,
CA. (Also a repeat winner -
she won the same honor at
the Aug. 2007 crop!) She
received a huge bag full of
scrappy stuff donated by
Timeless Treasures in
Rancho Santa Margarita.
Our runners up were
Duchess Terrie D. (before
she upgraded to Queen!)
and Baroness Lisa B.!
August 2007 C2R Queen of the Crop

Other Golden Scissor Award Winners and Honorable Mentions
Heidi S. earned the title of Page Completion Duchess with 43 pages finished by 8 p.m.
Saturday night (and one more day still to go!), while Judy O. was bestowed the honor of
Blogging Baroness. One layout that was entered in the Queen of the Crop Layout Contest
took second, tugging at croppers' heartstrings: In an unusual move, the C2R organizers
gave Stephanie D. an honorable mention for her layout "Always."
